These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the OTR Academy website and participation in any of our programs. By accessing our website or enrolling in OTR Academy, you agree to the following:

Nature of OTR Academy Programs

OTR Academy provides extracurricular educational programs focused on:

  • Debate
  • Public speaking
  • Critical thinking
  • Communication and leadership skills

Our programs are not formal education recognized by the Ministry of Education and do not constitute licensed pedagogical or psychological services.

Instructors are experienced debaters and communicators but are not certified mental health or pedagogical professionals.

Participation & Assumption of Risk

Participation in OTR Academy activities is voluntary. By enrolling, parents and students acknowledge that:

  • Activities may involve public speaking, competition, travel, and performance pressure
  • These activities may include physical presence at events or tournaments
  • OTR Academy is not responsible for emotional discomfort, stress, or disagreement arising from participation

3. Sensitive Topics & Freedom of Expression

Debate and public speaking may involve discussion of:

  • Social, political, cultural, moral, or religious topics

OTR Academy does not promote any ideology. Opinions expressed by students or instructors do not represent OTR Academy as an institution.

Participants agree to respect diversity of thought and release OTR Academy from liability related to disagreements or discomfort arising from such discussions.

General Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • OTR Academy, its founders, instructors, employees, and collaborators shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, losses, or damages (physical, emotional, or material) occurring before, during, or after activities.
  • This applies whether activities take place on-site, online, or off-site.

Participants waive the right to bring claims or legal actions against OTR Academy for such incidents.

Payments, Fees & Refunds

  • Program fees are disclosed prior to enrollment.
  • Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Missed classes are not refundable.
  • OTR Academy reserves the right to modify schedules, instructors, or formats when necessary.

Intellectual Property

All materials, methodologies, curricula, branding, content, and systems used by OTR Academy are protected intellectual property.

No student, parent, or third party may reproduce, distribute, or use OTR Academy materials without written permission.

Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the website
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Copy or scrape content
  • Use the site for unlawful purposes

OTR Academy may suspend access at its discretion.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting any form, enrolling in a program, or using our website, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • You agree to be bound by them
  • If the student is under 21, the parent or legal guardian accepts on their behalf

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republica Dominicana. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Santo Domingo or the jurisdiction where OTR Academy operates.
